6 Homeware Favourites

We bought our first house towards the end of 2013 and spent most of 2014 completely renovating it (more on that in another post) but we’ve finally got to a place where we can finally start buying accessories to make the place look more homely and lived in. Over the past few months I’ve been picking up some extra homeware bits – so here’s some photos of my latest favourites:

1. Hello Sunshine Cushion

Love this cushion – it’s bright, summery and really lightens up our new sofas. Tesco – £8.

2. Postcards for the Kitchen

I saw these postcards in Waterstones and loved them although I didn’t really know what to do with them at the time. I found these photoframes in Homebase over the weekend and thought they’d be ideal to stick the postcards in. So here’s some new artwork to go up in our kitchen.

Postcards – 60p each from Waterstones – Frames £9.99 from Homebase.

3. Blue Hydrangea

Hydrangeas are my favourite flowers and I love this one I picked up a few months ago from Tesco in a pink watering can.

4. Trees – Isla Bonita

It was an optimistically sunny day when I bought these for our outside decking : 2 for £25 from Homebase. Ever since I bought them it seems to have rained non-stop so they haven’t been too happy outside! Fingers crossed for some sunshine. They do brighten up the place and I love the colourful pots that they come in.

5. Ikea Cactus

We’ve had a few trips to Ikea recently and I picked up these for adding something extra to our living room. £4.50 for a pack of 3. We also bought a couple of artificial plants which look great in the bright green pots.

6. Primark Summer bedding

I love this and it goes perfectly in our bedroom – Cushion £4  Duvet Cover King Size – £13
