Palm Springs

We arrived at Palm Springs after a five hour car journey from Vegas (the longest drive we would have to do during the roadtrip.) Palm Springs is a desert town within the Coachella Valley and is famed for its year round sunshine.

We stayed here for one night at the Las Brisas Best Western which was the cheapest hotel we’d booked over the whole two weeks but also one of my favourites. It was a stunning place and really worth the money we’d paid for it ; when we arrived in the early evening it was quiet and we were able to relax by the pool as the evening sun went down. The hotel is right in the centre of town and we were able to walk to the main street where all the restaurants were within a few minutes. We opted for mexican food at Las Casuelas Terraza which served some amazing burritos.

Palm Springs is a quiet, almost sleepy town where everything closed down by about 9.30pm but as a rest-stop before exploring the rest of California it was a great place to spend the night.
